The Owner-Occupied Credit is a real estate tax reduction available to the homeowner's principal residence.
To receive the reduction you must own and occupy your home as your principal place of residence on January 1st of the year you file for the reduction. A homeowner is entitled to this reduction on only
one home in Ohio.
To apply, a Owner-Occupied Credit Application form DTE 105C must be filed with the Auditor after the first Monday in January and on or before the first Monday in June in the year the application is for.
