April is designated as Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month in Ohio. The Ohio Children’s Trust Fund is the lead agency in Ohio supporting prevention efforts. There are various events and campaigns throughout the state highlighting these efforts. On average, one child is determined to be abused or neglected every 30 thirty minutes in Ohio. During the month of April, we ask each community member to commit 30 minutes to one activity that will help prevent child abuse or neglect. This can be as simple as making dinner for an overwhelmed mother. Let us know what you will do by posting it on social media with the hashtag #inthenext30minutes.
