Published 05/5/2015

Lebanon, Ohio – Effective Monday, May 18, 2015, the intersection of Foster-Maineville Road (CR23) and Butterworth Road (CR156) in Hamilton Township will be closed for ten (10) weeks. The closure will include the entire intersection which is located between Old 3C Highway and SR48. The safety improvements at the intersection are anticipated to be complete on July 24, 2015, weather permitting.

Currently, the intersection of Foster-Maineville Road and Butterworth Road is below standards in terms of sight distance and safety. The safety improvements are being funded by County Road and Bridge Funds, Highway Safety Improvements Project Funds (HSIP) and ODOT Safety Funds (CSTP). The improvements being constructed include the widening of Foster-Maineville Road to include a left turn lane onto Butterworth Road (for westbound traffic turning south), new storm sewers, and a retaining wall. This project is being constructed to increase safety and sight distance at the intersection. The work is being constructed by Ford Development.

The detour will utilize Old 3C Highway, US22/SR3 and SR48.
