Fair housing is a term that describes the right of individuals to obtain housing of their choice. The Federal Fair Housing Act of 1968, as amended and other, assures this right legislation which makes it unlawful to discriminate in the sale, rental, financing, and insuring of housing due to the following reasons:

  • Race/National Origin
  • Religion
  • Color
  • Sex
  • Handicap (Disability)
  • Familial Status
