Warren County Family and Children First Council

About Us

Serving Better by Serving Together

The purpose of the Warren County Family and Children First Council is to support its members in their efforts to promote strong and stable individuals and their families as well as a safe social environment that will encourage the success and resiliency of children, families and communities.

Councils exist in every county in Ohio and are responsible for meeting the requirements outlined in Ohio Revised Code Section 121.37. Locally they are to evaluate and prioritize services, fill service gaps where possible, invent new approaches to achieve better results, and ensure ongoing input from a broad representation of the community.

There is a commitment to focus on areas of child well being that ensure:

  • Expectant parents and newborn thrive
  • Infants and toddlers thrive
  • Children are ready for school
  • Children and youth succeed in school
  • Youth choose healthy behaviors
  • Youth successfully transition into adulthood
