The Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District is a legal subdivision of state government responsible for the conservation of natural resources within Warren County. It was organized February 15, 1944, under enabling legislation provided by the Ohio House Bill 646. Warren County SWCD was organized for the purpose of the conservation and development of the natural resources of the county, with special emphasis on soil and water to assist land owners in planning and applying conservation practices on their land.
The Warren County SWCD promotes the use of conservation practices on farmland, and BMP's for water quality on all lands, encourages compliance with agriculturals and urban sediment abatement regulations, and advancement in conservation education programs in the county.
The Warren County SWCD mission is to promote wise stewardship of our natural resources through cooperative partnerships, educational programs and technical assistance in land and water management.
